When we plan these retreats, we focus heavily on feeding your mind and spirit through connection, coaching, and movement. But, my friends, we cannot forget the glorious vessel that carries you through this life: your body.

And there is perhaps nowhere on earth better suited to nourishing the body than Italy.

 

But this isn't just "Italian food." This is Puglia. And the culinary experience we have planned for you is going to be nothing short of transformative.

 

Welcome to the "Heel of the Boot"

If you aren't familiar with Puglia (Apulia), prepare to fall in love. Located in the sun-drenched southern heel of Italy’s "boot," Puglia is a land of vibrant colors: the shocking blue of the sea, the rich red earth, and the silvery-green of millions of ancient olive trees.

 

Historically, this region is famous for what the Italians call cucina povera—literally "poor kitchen," or peasant cooking. But don't let the name fool you. It is a philosophy born of necessity that celebrates ingenuity, seasonality, and the absolute freshest ingredients. It’s farm-to-table not because it’s trendy, but because that’s the only way they’ve ever known.

 

Puglia is the breadbasket of Italy, responsible for much of the country's best durum wheat (hello, amazing pasta!), sun-ripened vegetables, and, crucially, liquid gold—olive oil.

 

Cooking with Love: Meet Our Local Mammas

When I dreamed up this retreat, I knew I didn’t want standard hotel catering. I wanted us to feel cared for, tucked in, and nourished by the authentic heart of the region.

 

I am thrilled to share that throughout our 8-day stay at our beautiful Masseria, we will be cooked for and served by three lovely local Puglian women.

 

Imagine this: sitting down at a communal table with your new Tribe, as these incredible women present dishes made from recipes passed down from their grandmothers to their mothers, and now to us. This isn't just food; it is history, tradition, and love served on a plate. It’s the ultimate act of feminine care.

 

The Menu: Fresh, Vibrant, and Soul-Satisfying

Because Puglia’s cuisine is rooted in the land, our menu will be a celebration of fresh produce. You can expect a predominantly vegetarian feast—think vibrant salads with tomatoes that taste like sunshine, roasted vegetables drizzled in local olive oil, hearty legumes, and fresh cheeses like burrata and mozzarella that melt in your mouth.

 

For those desiring extra protein, we will also feature the bounty of the nearby sea with fresh, locally caught fish options.

 

It is food that feels good to eat. It’s vibrant, healthy, and incredibly satisfying, leaving you energized for our daily yoga sessions and deep-dive workshops.

 

Get Your Hands Doughy!

We aren't just going to eat the food; we're going to connect with it! One of the absolute highlights of our week together will be an authentic Pasta Making Class.

 

There is something deeply therapeutic about getting your hands messy with flour and water, learning the ancient rhythm of rolling orecchiette (the famous "little ear" pasta of the region). We’ll laugh, we’ll likely make a mess, and we’ll gain a new appreciation for the craft before devouring our own creations.

 

Freedom to Explore

While we will be incredibly well-fed at our farmhouse, the Whole YOU experience is also about freedom and exploration.

 

We’ve built in plenty of free time for you to venture out. Maybe you want to take a bike ride to a nearby village and find a tiny trattoria for lunch, or perhaps you want to take an excursion to a seaside town and hunt down the perfect gelato. Puglia is begging to be explored, and your palate deserves the adventure!
